Stanford GSB: Online Learning Design and Technology

Visual Design Lead | Motion Graphics | UI Design

As the Visual Design Lead on the Learning Design and Technology team at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, I had the privilege of working with a team that pushes the boundaries of conventional online learning models to create immersive online learning experiences. I worked with faculty, learning experience designers, video producers, and other subject matter experts to deliver high quality online courses through lecture videos, interactive case studies and simulations.

During my time with this team, I helped deliver 12+ online courses with various faculty members, departments, and on-campus organizations. I provided creative direction and led the design production for 9 different courses spanning 60+ videos, 3 online case studies, 3 digital workbooks, and 1 interactive simulation. This meant creating and overseeing design systems that consisted of typography, illustrations, colors, animation, iconography, photography, videography and other graphic elements.

My Approach

To make the course material engaging and accessible for students, I focused on giving each course a unique look and feel. My goal was to stay true to the instructors and their content while bringing personality to the course work. This approach proved to be effective in delivering immersive experiences and high quality deliverables. The end-products were well received by our clients and course participants.

To deliver these courses with such distinct visual direction in a timely manner, I had to effectively communicate my vision and develop user-friendly design systems so that an entire team (including program stakeholders, other designers and fellow team members) could work in parallel efficiently.

All course material is the property of Stanford Graduate School of Business. If you would like to know more, please feel free to contact me. In the meantime, here are some snapshots of my work.
